Meadowbrook Logistics Center: Dated Office Building Turned Distribution Hub

Nearly one year ago, Manhattan-based Brookfield Properties acquired a Garden City field office building for $13.25M. Today, that building has been demolished and construction has commenced on a large-scale distribution facility, a.k.a., the Meadowbrook Logistics Center.

Located just 40 minutes from NYC with proximity to the communities of Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau, this property will provide unmatched access to the largest metro market in the United States. This facility will also be less than an hour from neighboring New Jersey Meadowlands and Port Newark.

• 36-foot clear height

Additionally, the plan is to leverage concrete tilt construction to build the facility and develop it into a Class A, LEED certified distribution facility. There will also be several ESG considerations such as EV chargers, a white roof, LED lighting, and potential solar installations on the rooftop.

Monitoring Manpower at the Meadowbrook Logistics Center with myComply

With a peak project construction headcount of roughly 300 workers, myComply will be an essential tool in ensuring that every worker that steps foot on-site is properly qualified and certified to be there. myComply will also automate time and attendance tracking through worker collaboration with in-field Smart Bricks.

Here’s how it works:

• All construction workers will either use their state-issued SST Cards or their assigned myComply NFC and Bluetooth Smart Badges to create and link their worker profile, complete with digital copies of each of their required certifications.
• Construction workers will bring these badges on-site and scan them on myComply Smart Bricks which will verify certifications and start the worker’s time clock.
• Workers will once again scan their badge at the end of the day to stop their time clock before heading home.
