Distance Learning Course
This course focuses on "Supported Scaffolds" and covers common types of scaffolds including rolling scaffolds, swing stage scaffolds and suspended scaffolds as well as common problems on scaffolds. This course also provides information regarding Federal OSHA regulations that apply to safe work sites and safety when performing work on scaffold and guidance provided by such organizations such as ANSI, the American Nationals Standards Institute. This course also provides information on worker rights to report unsafe conditions and is based on the NYC Buildings Department’s New York City Local Law 196 of 2017 course requirements for 4 hours of Supported Scaffolding User Safety training for individuals applying for a Site Safety Training Card.
NYC Local Law 52 requires all individuals who use a supported scaffold, including the person supervising such, to complete (at minimum) 4-hours of training by a Dept. of Buildings approved training provider. This course must be repeated every four years.
